The walk with Christ is usually not an easy walk. It is laden with tribulations and sometimes, one questions whether it is worth all the trouble. But the answer to that question is that it is indeed worth it. When Jesus Christ, our saviour, was crucified and it all looked like it was all over, after three days he resurrected and from his resurrection we all have hope of resurrecting one day and embracing eternity.
What most people don't know is that the walk with Christ requires a high degree of discipline, which most of us, admittedly, lack. It takes discipline to pray consistently and persistently and it takes discipline to walk the walk with Christ. Most people will argue that when a born again worshiper is filled with the Holy Spirit, then the walk with Christ becomes an easy one, after all, there is a helper who helps the worshipper in his/her walk with Christ. It is true that the Holy Spirit is a guide, a helper for all the people who have surrendered their lives to Christ. However, the Holy Spirit can only operate in an environment conducive for Him. There are things we do as christians that grieve the Holy Spirit, who is meant to guide us in our walk, when we grieve Him, he slips away from us and we are left on our own to operate in the flesh. It is a dangerous position for any professing Christian to find himself/herself. So, what are those things that grieve our helper, the Holy Spirit? Wanna share?
